Interview of the day: MOJA.

1.Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?

My real name is Umoja and my stage name is my real name without the “U”, MOJA.

2.Where are you from and where are you based?

I am from Teaneck, New Jersey. Currently still based in New Jersey

3.At what age did you start making music?

I started making music around 18! Then I started putting out tracks with serious intention and direction years later.

4.What genre would you consider yourself?

Hip-hop with confections of all other music genres I grew to love.

5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.

Like music, fashion has always looked back to move forward. The same nostalgic sentiment my latest release “Swipee” shares with listeners. From the bouncy Pierre Bourne-like production, to the unforgettable, and free-flowing verse. To me, it feels like a reprise to a fashion themed musical set in the famous New York City. There is also an official video releasing very soon that features New York and fashion. I also collaborated with an avant-garde fashion brand from New York City for my next single and official video, which is releasing this month.

6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?

It would be pretty cool if Basquiat was alive and could paint some stuff on stage while I perform some songs. As for music, I cannot say one person. But artists like Tyler The Creator, Joanna, Di-Meh, Pelada, Mike Dean, Varnish La Piscine, AJRadico, etc. It’s all over the place, but these are some of the artists I’d love to collaborate with one day.

7.Where can fans find you? List all your social media links

The ears and eyes of this generation can find me on any social or streaming service by searching MOJA or mojacaine. area
